Covid-19: Sabah's daily cases cross 200 mark


KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is seeing an increase in daily Covid-19 cases, recording 208 new infections on Sunday (July 10).

State Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said Kota Kinabalu district saw an increase from 71 cases on Saturday (July 9) to 104 on Sunday.

He said almost 85% of new cases in the district were sporadic infections.

Five districts registering new cases in the double digits on Sunday were Penampang (30), Sandakan (23), Lahad Datu (12), Papar (11) and Tuaran (10), he added in his daily Covid-19 briefing.

However, he said of the 208 new cases, 206 were under Categories 1 and 2 for no symptoms to mild symptoms while two cases were in Category 4.
