Cops arrest man suspected of kidnapping ex-girlfriend and her son

SHAH ALAM: Police have remanded the suspect that allegedly kidnaped his ex-girlfriend and her son.

In a statement on Saturday (July 9), Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Iqbal Ibrahim said that the man has been remanded for four days.

"The remand order has been approved for four days until July 12," he said.

The suspect surrendered himself on Friday (July 8) to the police after pressure from the authorities following raids at known addresses.

On July 7, the suspect drove off with the two victims after taking over her car in front of a kindergarten in U12.

It is believed that he was acting under the influence of drugs, and that he had unreciprocated feelings for his ex.

Both victims were unharmed when the police found them when the suspect surrendered.
