Three dead and four seriously injured in collision on SKVE

KLANG: Three foreigners lost their lives whilst four others were seriously injured when two vehicles collided head-on along the Carey Island stretch of the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) Thursday (July 7) night.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said his department received a call regarding the incident at 10.42pm and were on the scene eight minutes later.

"According to an early report of the incident, the crash involved an MPV and a SUV colliding head on," said Norazam.

He added there were seven people trapped in both the vehicles whom the firemen managed to extricate soon after midnight.

Norazam said out of the seven people involved in the accident, six were foreigners and one was a local man.

All the foreigners were in the MPV whilst the Malaysian man was travelling in the SUV.

"The three dead men were all foreigners and their remains were surrendered to the police.

"Out of the four injured persons, three were sent to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang and one was sent to the Banting Hospital," said Norazam.

He said the foreigners could not be identified as they did not have any documents on them.
