SOBA 2022 virtual clinic helps online submission

PETALING JAYA: After launching the Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) 2022, which honours up-and-coming enterprises for their contribution to the local economy, Star Media Group ran its first virtual clinic to assist SOBA participants in their entry submissions.

There will be two more SOBA virtual clinics in September and October.

As a credible and prestigious SME business award, SOBA upholds stringent independent judging that is audited by an external auditor, to award deserving companies in their respective categories of expertise.

It aims to inspire and encourage local businesses to promote Malaysia and showcase their products and services to the world and has two tiers based on the company’s turnover – up to RM25mil and over RM25mil.

This year, there are 11 categories for the “Top of the Class” and four in the “Outstanding Achievement” awards.

These include three new categories, which are Best in E-retail, Best Halal Product or Service and Elite Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Visit soba.com.my for the full list and submit your company’s entry before the deadline on Nov 11.

Winners will receive free advertising space on the SMG platform as well as Top-of-the-Class Awards and advertising space in both print and online worth RM50,000 for Platinum winners, RM30,000 for Gold winners and RM20,000 for Silver winners.

Outstanding Achievement Awards grand winners will receive advertising space worth RM50,000 each.

They will also get preferential rates for additional ads in The Star carrying the SOBA logo, 988 or Suria, trophies on the Awards Night and use of the SOBA logo and monogram on their collaterals.

They will also receive print and online publicity as well as the opportunity to speak at special workshops and talks.

SOBA 2022 is organised by SMG with Credit Guarantee Corp Malaysia Bhd, Digi, PKT Logistics Group and RHB Bank Bhd as main sponsors, TalentCorp Malaysia as co-sponsor and Matrade as official trade promotion partner.

Supported by Bursa Malaysia, it is audited by BDO with 988 and Suria as official media partners.
