PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong wasted no time and went straight to meet the people on the ground to get the latest feedback on the latest issues, including those related to the transportation sector, as soon as he returned from his official trip in New York, United States.
In a Facebook posting, Dr Wee said that he managed to take some time to meet with people near Warung Fatuk under the bridge at Jalan Loke Yew in Kuala Lumpur.
"At the same time, this is where I took some time to interact with the public from various backgrounds that come to have a meal here.
"While asking on how they are doing, I received feedback from them on the current issues, especially those related to the transport sector. Each view means a lot to me," Dr Wee said on Wednesday (July 6).
The Transport Minister was in New York City for a week-long official working visit, where he delivered Malaysia's statement at the United Nations High-Level Meeting and how Malaysia will uphold globally accepted standards of road safety.
"As usual, I ordered my favourite 'tosai' and 'roti canai'. All types of curry here, including chicken, lamb and fish were all delicious," added Dr Wee.
