Mother, baby found slashed to death in JB


JOHOR BARU: A mother and her 44-day-old baby have been found slashed to death at their family home in Kampung Bakar Batu here.

The woman’s father Rosman Ahmad, 58, said he received a call from his eldest son at around 12.15pm on Monday (July 4), asking him to head to the victims’ home as there were “some problems”.

“I arrived and it was the most shocking sight for any parent to see... my 26-year-old daughter and her baby lying lifelessly near the front door.

“The police have not arrived yet at the time.

“I could not think much when I saw the wounds on my daughter Hajar Nursyahirin Rosman and grandson Hans Mohd Thakif’s neck,” said Rosman when met at the victims’ home in Kampung Bakar Batu, Permas Jaya here on Monday (July 4).

Earlier, video clips of a naked man, said to be the suspect, riding a motorcycle on a busy highway in Johor Baru have been making rounds on social media.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat confirmed the case, adding a suspect has been arrested in Johor Baru.
