PETALING JAYA: Has Leiking (Warisan deputy president Darell Leiking) been living under a rock for the past decade? asks Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
This was the question posed by the former prime minister in response to Leiking questioning which Barisan Nasional party had issued identification cards (IC) to undocumented migrants in Sabah in exchange for votes.

In a Facebook post, the Pekan member of parliament said that he would answer Leiking’sa query.
"The Barisan party that was involved in the IC project in Sabah in the 1990s was Umno under former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed.
"But Dr Mahathir said his then deputy Anwar (Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) was assigned to win over Sabah at the time.
"This is why I had requested a Royal Commission Inquiry (RCI) in 2013 to seek out the truth. And this is why Dr Mahathir was upset with me in 2013," he said.
Najib added even though it was made known since 2013 that Dr Mahathir and Anwar were involved, Leiking was never angry with them.
In fact, he said both leaders were Leiking bosses under Pakatan Harapan.
Earlier Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) presiden Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili hit out against Leiking for asking 'stupid' questions over the IC issue as he already knew which Barisan party was involved following the RCI report formed under Najib’s time.
On Friday (July 1), Ongkili revealed that a Barisan component party had given Malaysian ICs to undocumented migrants in Sabah in exchange for their votes.
Ongkili also did not name any the party but said the RCI had proven the involvement using undocumented migrants for their own political interests.
The statements made by Ongkili led Leiking to pose questions over the party’s name immediately in the name of justice for Sabahans, so that action can be taken against those responsible.
