Sri Petaling brawl: Three men arrested


KUALA LUMPUR: Three men have been detained in connection with a brawl between two groups of men in Sri Petaling.

The video of the fight went viral on social media recently.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the suspects, aged between 20 and 41, will be remanded to assist the investigation into the fight which occurred on Monday (June 27).

"We are still searching for the remaining individuals involved in the brawl.

"We urge others seen in the viral video to come forward as soon as possible," he said when contacted on Friday (July 1).

He also urged those with information to contact Brickfields police hotline at 03-22979222, KL police hotline at 03-21159999 or the nearest police station.

It was reported that the police were looking for 20 men who were involved in the brawl on Jalan Radin Bagus in Sri Petaling at about 2.30am on Monday (June 27).

The fighters were armed with steel rods and beer bottles.

Besides fighting, the culprits also damaged nearby vehicles.
