Motorcyclist, 68, dies after being hit by a car

SEREMBAN: A 68-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he was knocked down by a car driven by a 21-year-old man, believed to be drunk.

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said police arrested the man after the accident at 10.55pm along KM5 of Jalan Seremban on June 29.

"The suspect was heading towards Port Dickson from Lukut when he lost control of his car and crashed into the victim, who was riding in front of him.

"We have taken a blood sample from the victim to be sent for a toxicology test, as we believe he was driving under the influence of alcohol," he said.

A 45-second clip taken after the incident has also gone viral.

Several individuals can be seen asking the driver to come out of his car, but he refused.

A policeman then told the crowd to disperse.

Supt Aidi Sham said the case was being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He also urged the public not to share the clip or speculate the cause of the accident as it was still under investigation.
