Driver killed, six pupils injured in accident involving two MPVs


PETALING JAYA: A road accident involving two MPVs on Jalan Saujana Utama here killed one driver and lightly injured six pupils.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said a team from the department reached the accident site at 1.17pm Thursday (June 30).

"The accident involved two vehicles and a 52-year-old driver died at the scene. The six pupils inside, aged seven, suffered light injuries and have been sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment," he said.

The victim's MPV had turned turtle following a collision with another MPV.

The deceased has been identified as Muhamad Zaki Ariffin.
