KL-Karak Highway to close for 30 minutes from 11pm on June 27

KUANTAN: The Kuala Lumpur-Karak (KLK) Highway will be closed for 30 minutes on Monday night (June 27) to facilitate East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) construction works.

Concessionaire Anih Berhad's senior general manager Radzimah Mohd Radzi said the closure from 11pm onwards was to allow passage for heavy machinery used in the ECRL tunnel construction in Genting.

"Both directions of the KLK Highway will be completely closed from KM55.35 up to KM55.85 (Lentang) to ensure there is no untoward incident. Anih Berhad would like to advise highway users to plan their trips and if necessary, speed up or postpone their journey," she said.

Radzimah said only the left lane would be open for both directions after 11.30pm.

She said the route was expected to be fully re-opened by 5am on Tuesday (June 28).

Radzimah reminded highway users to drive prudently and comply with the instructions of staff at the location as well as ensure the condition of their vehicles were in optimal condition before embarking on their journey.
