Zuraida's post not discussed in Cabinet meeting, says Hisham


KUALA LUMPUR: The status of Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin as Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister was not discussed in the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday (June 8), says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

"It was not discussed today," said the Senior Minister (Security) and Defence Minister at the announcement for the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (Lima) 2023.

On May 26, Zuraida announced that she had quit Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia to join Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).

She had said she would meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to speak about resigning as minister.

Ismail Sabri had said he would make a decision on her Cabinet post after meeting with Zuraida.
