We deserve more than RM996mil, says Chow

OF the RM75.6bil given to all states for development in this year’s national Budget, Penang was allocated only RM996mil, or a mere 1.3%.

“Based on the state’s contribution to the nation’s gross domestic product in the past three years, of between 6.7% and 6.9% a year, we should have received an allocation of RM5.2bil under Budget 2022,” Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said during the state assembly yesterday.

Uh-oh! Daily quota reached.
