Seven hurt as MPV plunges into river in Klang


KLANG: Seven people were injured after their multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) crashed into a river here.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the incident occurred near the Jalan Haji Abdul Manan traffic light on late Sunday (May 29) night.

“The MPV was seen in the river and two victims were stuck in the front of the vehicle, requiring them to be extricated.

“Of the seven injured victims, two suffered serious injuries.

"Rescue operations concluded at 12.34am today,” he said on Monday (May 30).
