PKR polls: Prabakaran defeats Tian Chua to take Batu chief post

PETALING JAYA: Batu MP P. Prabakaran emerged as the new chief of the Batu PKR division after beating incumbent Tian Chua by 211 votes.

Prabakaran managed to get 517 votes against Tian Chua's 306 in the recently concluded PKR party elections for the 2022-2025 term.

The results do not include "doubtful" votes that are excluded from the result until they can be verified by the party's election committee.

There were 82 such votes for Prabakaran and 24 for Tian Chua, which means that it would not have any effect on the result.
