No flood in KL Sentral as alleged, say Brickfields cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Brickfields police say a viral video claiming there was a flash flood around the KL Sentral area on Wednesday (May 25) is fake.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said they detected the video clip on social media.

"The video also states that KL Sentral was flooded on May 25. We wish to clarify that the video was taken on April 25.

"The situation in the area today is safe and under control, with no floods occurring," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He urged the public to refrain from sharing any information or videos before verifying it first.

He also asked those with information on crime or other incidents to contact the Brickfields police hotline at 03-2297 9222.
