Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) workers have been sent to the affected areas to assist motorists.
"DBKL workers are ready and are present at several locations to ensure water flows smoothly and to assist with traffic," it said in a Facebook post at noon on Wednesday (May 25).
There are also instances of water ponding along Jalan Ampang-Jalan Dang Wangi.
"Plan your trip and drive carefully," said the ministry.
In a tweet at 1.21pm, the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel said the SMART Tunnel was open to road traffic. This was just after it had tweeted at 12.30pm that it would close to prepare for flood mitigation measures.
