KOTA KINABALU: The number of Covid-19 cases in the state capital has doubled on Tuesday (May 24), recording 32 infections, up from 16 previously.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the 100% increase in the Kota Kinabalu district contributed to the state's higher figure of 52 cases, an increase of nine cases from the day before.
"Except for Kota Kinabalu, infections at other districts are low and under control.
"In fact, seven districts registered a decrease in new cases.
"A total of 16 districts did not record new infections within the last 24 hours," he added.
