SEA Games: Malaysia lose 0-1 to Vietnam in football semi-finals

HANOI: Malaysia lost to Vietnam 0-1 in the football semi-finals of the Vietnam SEA Games at the Viet Tri Stadium in Phu To on Thursday (May 19).

The game, which went to extra time, saw striker Nguyen Tien Linh scoring in the 110th minute to get the Red Dragons to the final of the games for the second time in a row.

Vietnam are the defending gold medallists. They will face Thailand in the final at the MyDinh Stadium on May 22.

Malaysia will take on Indonesia in the bronze medal match, also on the same date and venue.
