PM to officiate Malaysian Family Aspirations tour in Sabah on May 20


KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is scheduled to officiate the Malaysian Family Aspirations (AKM) tour at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on Friday (May 20).

The opening ceremony, the first event of the tour programme organised by the Agriculture and Food Industries Ministry (MAFI) will also be attended by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

Several interesting, fun and beneficial activities have been lined up for visitors at the three-day event which starts daily at 9am until May 22.

Among them are the Malaysian Family Agro Sales, Malaysian Family Sales, electronic sports; community games, gotong-royong, fun ride cycling tour, Malaysian Family feast and an exhibition of ministries and government agencies.

The Jamin Kerja Career Carnival programme will be an attraction for job seekers as over 1,000 job opportunities are being offered by various sectors involving over 30 reputable employers.

Other interesting activities include a cat performance for pet lovers, motoring carnival (bikers), cooking demonstrations, fruit arrangement and a simulation exercise by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department.

Sabah is the third destination for the AKM tour, inspired by the Prime Minister, after the first was held in Johor and the second in Perlis. - Bernama
