KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak never put pressure on KPMG Malaysia to sign off on the 2013 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) financial statement, contends his lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah (pic).
Muhammad Shafee told prosecution witness KPMG managing partner Datuk Johan Idris that Najib did not force the audit firm to do so during a meeting it had with 1MDB at the former premier’s residence in Langgak Duta on Dec 15, 2013.
