Najib: Removing names of 'wrongdoers' from 1MDB lawsuit is an abuse of process


KUALA LUMPUR: The removal of "wrongdoers" initially named in a lawsuit filed against Datuk Seri Najib Razak by 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and its subsidiaries is an abuse of process, says the former prime minister.

In a statement of defence filed by Messrs Shafee & Co on March 28 in 1MDB's US$8bil lawsuit against him, Najib said: "It is apparent from the amended writ of summons that the wrongdoers... initially named were removed.
