Cops looking for driver involved in two hit-and-run incidents in Iskandar Puteri

JOHOR BARU: Police are looking for the driver of a car involved in two hit-and-run incidents at Iskandar Puteri here.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said a red Toyota C-HR first hit a motorcycle KM16 Jalan Johor Baru-Air Hitam, followed by another along Persiaran Ledang at around 9.30pm on Monday (April 11).

He said two short video clips of the incidents made rounds on social media, recorded by those in other vehicles.

In the videos, the people recording were seen trying to chase down the red Toyota, with the car plate number being clearly visible, before the 34-second and 24-second clips ended.

“We received two police reports following the incidents and we have also identified the suspect involved.

“A search is ongoing to find the suspect,” he said, adding that investigations are ongoing under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly and dangerously.
