Witnesses of fatal accident on NKVE urged to contact police


PETALING JAYA: Witnesses to a fatal accident along the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) on March 20 are urged to come forward to the police.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the incident occurred at 7.20am at KM458.4 near the Sungai Buloh R&R stop.

Police believe a four-wheel drive vehicle crashed into a motorcycle, leading to the death of a husband and wife.

"A 57-year-old woman died at the scene while a 65-year-old man died at the Sungai Buloh Hospital after being rushed there due to injuries," he said in a statement Saturday (March 26).

A suspect has been arrested and police urge witnesses to contact traffic investigating officer Insp Mohamad Khairil Helmi Mohamad Isa at 019-331 8339.
