JOHOR BARU: The announcement on the reopening of land borders from April 1 has proven to be the long-awaited proverbial light at the end of the tunnel for many, especially taxi drivers plying the Johor Baru-Singapore route.
Hafiz Kasah, 48, who has been transporting Malaysians and Singaporeans for six years, said the announcement was the best piece of news for taxi drivers who have been suffering since the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted their lives two years ago.
