Lorry drivers need time to follow new rule


JOHOR BARU: More time is needed for trucking operators to fully adapt to Singapore’s new requirement where they have to perform pre-departure Covid-19 tests in Malaysia before crossing the border.

Johor Trucking Association president Novan Hing said the slight traffic congestion on the Causeway into Singapore after 9am yesterday, which was the first day that the republic ceased on-arrival testing, was expected.
