KING of Mandopop Jay Chou’s soon-to-be-born baby is said to be a girl, reported Sin Chew Daily.
One of Chou’s relatives leaked the gender of the baby to the press.
In January, Chou’s wife Hannah Quinlivan, who is a Taiwanese-Australian actress, announced that she was pregnant.
“I originally intended to make the announcement after giving birth. It seems we are unable to keep it a secret,” Quinlivan wrote online.
When asked to confirm the gender of the baby, Quinlivan’s manager said she does not know.
“I did not specifically ask them. We should let the couple announce the good news themselves,” the manager said.
In the past, Chou had said that he wanted five children of his own and had planned to form a band.
However, after Quinlivan was revealed to be suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, Chou said he has no plans to have more children.
Chou and Quinlivan got hitched in 2014 and already have two children, daughter Hathaway, seven, and son Romeo, five.
> A former Hong Kong beauty pageant contestant was sentenced to jail for attacking a neighbour who tried to film her not wearing a mask in public, reported China Press.
Sit Yeng Yi, 38, who went viral last year when she entered the 2021 Miss Asia Pageant, was charged with common assault for her antics and sentenced to two weeks’ jail.
She was also fined HK$5,000 (RM2,693) for not wearing a mask in public.
According to Hong Kong media, Sit had pleaded guilty to both charges.
Her lawyer pleaded for leniency, saying she only earns between HK$6,000 and HK$10,000 (RM3,232 and RM5,387) each month, and promised that she would not repeat her mistake in future.
It was earlier reported that Sit kicked and swatted at her neighbour who had chased and filmed her going out in public without a mask last September.
She later told reporters that she got nervous after being chased and kicked the person out of reflex.
Court documents also revealed that before she got famous, Sit was fired from a restaurant in 2012 for refusing to put on a mask while working.
