Hajiji pays last respects to Toh Puan Rahimah Stephens


KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor on Monday (March14) visited the family of the late Toh Puan Rahimah Stephens (pic) to convey his condolences and pay last respects to the widow of former Sabah chief minister and former Sabah governor Tun Mohd Fuad Stephens.

Toh Puan Rahimah Stephens died here early on Monday. She was 91.

Hajiji was accompanied by state secretary Datuk Safar Untong and Kawang assemblyman Datuk Ghulam Haidarkhan Bahadar during the visit to the family's residence in Jalan Lintas here.

Toh Puan Rahimah Stephens was born in Beaufort and had once served as the assemblyman for Kiulu and was also a former Sabah welfare minister.

She was also the first woman to be appointed a minister in Sabah.- Bernama
