Ampang landslide: Firefighters risk lives to rescue victims


KUALA LUMPUR: Firefighters from the Pandan Indah Fire and Rescue station risked their lives by not abandoning the sole survivor in a landslide incident in Taman Bukit Permai 2, despite facing a third wave of landslide during the rescue operation on Thursday (March 10).

Recounting the anxious moment, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Hulu Langat Zone 4 chief, Shahrin Isma Mat Yusof, said on arrival at the scene, the firemen conducted a risk assessment at the location.
