PETALING JAYA: MCA's candidate for Tangkak, Ong Chee Siang (pic), is the best man to ensure a bright future for the constituency in the next five years, says party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

He said that Ong, a local, is committed and serious in developing his hometown.

"He is also experienced in administration due to his time serving in the Education Department, as well as the Governance, Acquisition, and Finance investigating task force under the Prime Minister's Department.

"I hope the voters in Tangkak give him a chance to shine a new light on the people there," he said in a Facebook post on Monday (March 7).

Dr Wee also said that Barisan Nasional always puts the welfare of the people and the nation first, like focusing on the Rapid Transit System Link that would made movement between Johor and Singapore more convenient and smooth.
