Covid-19: Record high of 31,199 new cases bring total to 3,305,157




PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 31,199 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (Feb 23), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 31,080 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 119 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 3,305,157 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 55 deaths were recorded on Wednesday with 23 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 32,488.
