SEREMBAN: The water supply to several districts in Negri Sembilan will be temporarily disrupted for 24 hours on Feb 22 due to maintenance works at three treatment plants as well as pipe replacement works.
Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan (Sains) said, in a statement Friday (Feb 18), that parts of Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau and Tampin would be affected by the closure.
The water supply will be disrupted from 8am on Feb 22 till the next morning.
Areas in Seremban that will experience cuts are Ampangan, Senawang, Rahang, Paroi, Rasah Jaya, Sungai Gadut Industrial Area, Jalan Seremban-Tampin, Taman Tuanku Ja'afar, Seremban Selatan, Seremban Jaya, Sikamat and Jalan Loop following maintenance works the Sg Terip water treatment plant and pipe replacement works at several locations.
The temporary closure of the Sawah Raja treatment plant in Rembau will also affect supply to Ladang Tampin Linggi, Kg Tampin Linggi, Pengkalan Durian, Linggi, Pengkalan Kempas, Kg Permatang Pasir Linggi (Rumah Rakyat Permatang Pasir and Kg Sua Manggis), Tarzan Estate, Bukit Tembok, Bukit Kuau, Sengkang (Batu 18, 19, 20, 21, 22), Kg Tanjung Agas, Kg Sungai Raya, Pasir Panjang, Kg Orang Asli Bukit Kepong and from Batu 4 to Batu 16, Jalan Pantai, in Port Dickson.
Other areas include Exevalley Orchid Park, Kg Kundur Hilir, Desa Permai Kundur, Jalan Pelebar Dalam, Kg Pilin, Kg Baru Semin, Ladang Sg Baru, Ladang Bukit Bertam / Kg Bukit Bertam, Jalan Batu Berendam, Kg Sg Timun Dalam, Kg Sg Timun Luar, Rumah Rakyat Lubuk Cina Fasa 1 and 2, Pasar Lubuk Cina and Kg Titian Bitangor.
Meanwhile, maintenance works at the Pasir Besar treatment plant in Tampin will affect supply to Felda Sungai Kelamah, Kg Sungai Dua, Kg Kurnia DiRaja, Felda Jelai 1, 2, 3 and 4, Felda Pasir Besar and Felda Palong 1.
Sains said the maintenance works were necessary to ensure the concessionaire could continue to supply quality treated water.
It would also deploy water tankers and place static tanks in areas where the repair works will take more than 24 hours to complete.
