Johor polls: Perikatan to contest all 56 state seats


KOTA TINGGI: Perikatan Nasional will be contesting in all 56 state seats in the upcoming polls.

Its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said they have also finalised their candidate list.

"We will announce them soon. Now we will send the name list to the police, anti-corruption agency and also the insolvency department for vetting as, we do not want our candidates to have issues or even bankrupt," he said during the launch of the Perikatan election machinery in a Felda settlement here.

He reiterated that all Perikatan candidates would have to take an oath not to be corrupted or abuse their power when they win in the elections.

During the gathering, Muhyiddin also launched the Perikatan party song and also their war cry in the upcoming polls.
