Strong winds blow off roofs at varsity complex, supermarket in Shah Alam


SHAH ALAM: Strong winds caused roofs to be blown off at a carpark of a supermarket here in Seksyen 13 here and damaging eight cars.

When contacted, Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib said two incidents were reported, one at the car park of a supermarket here and the other at a varsity complex.

The incident at the supermarket damaged eight cars and six parking spots, and the roof that fell at the varsity complex didn’t cause any damage.

There were no casualties reported in both incidents.

"In the varsity complex incident, part of the roof fell from the second floor of the management building due to strong winds," he added.
