MELAKA: Melaka's Telugu community will continue its charity and education programmes from its new office at Kota Cemerlang at Ayer Keroh here.
Melaka Telugu Association chairman V. Seenivasalu said the new building will also be used as a premises to extend assistance to all the locals.
“We used to carry out our programmes at various locations previously, and now we have our own office to spearhead our programmes,” he said when interviewed on Wednesday (Jan 26).
Seenivasalu said members of the community have contributed towards setting up the pioneer office in the state.
He said the premises will also be used to gather the history and contribution of the Telugu community in Melaka.
Seenivasalu added the new office was opened by holding a Makar Sankranti celebration and prayers by a Hindu priest.
