Queen and PM visit Yang di-Pertuan Agong at IJN

PETALING JAYA: Both Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob paid a visit to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the National Heart Institute (IJN) earlier Monday (Jan 24).

Sinar Harian reported that a white Toyota Vellfire carrying the Prime Minister was seen entering the IJN compound at 5.13pm Monday while a vehicle carrying the Queen was seen leaving the area at about 8.05pm where she also waved to members of the media gathered outside.

On Sunday (Jan 23), Istana Negara said that the Agong was undergoing health checks and follow-up treatment at the IJN Royal Ward since Saturday (Jan 22).

The palace said this was a follow-up to intervention treatment for his knee joints and ankle, which His Majesty underwent in September 2020.
