KOTA BARU: Four people, including the operator of a private clinic, have been arrested here, allegedly for falsifying Covid-19 vaccination cards.

Kelantan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Shafien Mamat said the four suspects were aged in their late 30s and early 60s, comprising both sellers and buyers of the fake vaccination cards.

He said the Kelantan police contingent headquarters received a police report on Sunday morning, reported Kosmo!

“Between Oct 1 and Jan 11, we received four complaints from different sources about suspected fake vaccination cards being issued by a private clinic here," he said.

“Investigations showed that the clinic was offering vaccines at RM180 per injection,” added DCP Shafien in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 18).

DCP Shafien added that further checks showed that four individuals who were said to have received the vaccine did not have a record of their vaccinations in MySejahtera.

He said that during the raid, the police also seized vaccination cards along with other documents.

DCP Shafien then urged anyone with information related to fake vaccination certificates to come forward and lodge a report at the nearest police station.
