Fed-up with constant flooding, residents collect money to construct proper drainage

The road leading to Kampung Mawai has been cut off due to the flood.

KOTA TINGGI: Annoyed with the constant flooding to their homes, a group of residents in Jalan Marikat Batu 9, Kampung Mawai here, has taken the initiative to build a 300-meter drainage system using their own money.

A resident, Nur Azizan Morshidi, 35 said residents managed to collect RM500 to rent an excavator to carry out the work last month.
