Cops offering discounts of up to 80% on selected payments for traffic summonses from Thursday (Dec 9)


KUALA LUMPUR: The police will be offering discounts of up to 80% on selected traffic summons payments from Thursday (Dec 9) to Sunday (Dec 12), says Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Comm Datuk Mat Kasim Karim.

He said that the discounts are being offered in conjunction with the 100 days "Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia" that will be launched by the Prime Minister.

"Summonses can be paid at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) PDRM counter, traffic summonses payment counters at district and state police headquarters and through the MyBayar Saman portal throughout the four days,” said Mat Kasim.

"Discounts are not offered for summonses pertaining to accidents, overtaking on double lines, using the emergency lane, running red lights, overtaking dangerously, non-compoundable offences, offences under trial, heavy vehicle offences and modification of vehicle exhausts," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 8).

Comm Mat Kasim said individuals or companies can register through the PDRM official portal or the MyBayar Saman portal or download the application.

"We urge the public to adhere to Covid-19 SOP when making the payments at various counters We encourage the people to make the payments for summonses online," he said.
