Shahidan announces public holiday for Federal Territories after KL's M'sia Cup win

PETALING JAYA: Friday (Dec 3) will be a public holiday for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan, says Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

The Federal Territories Minister said the special holiday was to celebrate Kuala Lumpur FC (KL City) winning the Malaysia Cup on Tuesday (Nov 30).

KL City ended a 32-year drought to lift the Malaysia Cup after beating Johor Darul Takzim 2-0 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Tuesday.

The last time KL City won the oldest football trophy in the country was in 1989.
