Covid-19: Sarawak's new cases stay below 100 for second consecutive day

KUCHING: Sarawak's new Covid-19 cases stayed below 100 for a second consecutive day on Tuesday (Nov 30) at 98, says the state disaster management committee.

Of the new cases, it said only four were in Category Four (symptomatic and requiring oxygen) while the remaining 94 were in Categories One and Two (asymptomatic and light symptoms).

The cumulative number of cases now stands at 250,720.

On Monday (Nov 29), the state's daily figures dropped below 100 for the first time since February.

The committee also said three deaths were reported between Nov 22 and 27.

Two were brought in dead cases at Lawas Hospital on Nov 22 and the Sarawak General Hospital on Nov 27, involving a 50-year-old man and 50-year-old woman respectively.

The third death involved a 76-year-old woman, who died at Miri Hospital on Nov 25.

The committee added that no new clusters were detected.

The number of active clusters remains at four.
