PORT DICKSON: A Form Five student and four others have been arrested for dangerous and reckless riding along the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.
Port Dickson district police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said the youths aged between 17 and 20 were detained by a team from Bukit Aman during an operation along the highway on Sunday (Oct 31).
"The five were performing wheelies and superman stunts which not only endangered themselves but other road users as well," he said.
"They were later taken to the district police station for further questioning," added Supt Aidi Sham in a statement.
He said that three of the suspects are from Selangor while one is from Kuala Lumpur and another is from Kuala Pilah.
Supt Aidi Sham said the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Offenders can be fined between RM5,000 and RM15,000 and jailed up to five years and disqualified from holding a driving license for up to five years upon conviction.
