Thieves caught red-handed breaking into shop

KAJANG: Two men were caught red-handed after they broke into a shop in Bandar Puchong Jaya.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the duo were detained at about 4pm on Friday (Oct 22).

"We recovered the items stolen and the suspects admitted to breaking into shops around Kajang.

"Both suspects in their 40s have previous records for criminal and drug-related offences," he said when contacted on Sunday (Oct 24).

ACP Mohd Zaid urged those with information on any crime or accidents in Kajang to contact the police especially Kajang police headquarters.

In an unrelated incident, a 29-year-old man was detained at a house in Taman Kajang Prima at about 10pm on Saturday (Oct 23) for breaking into a house.

ACP Mohd Zaid said police also recovered stolen items stored in a bag.

"The stolen loot was worth RM24,000. The suspect has past offences including drug-related ones," he added.
