PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded another 5,666 cases of Covid-19, the Health Ministry reported on Sunday (Oct 24).
This was marginally lower than the 5,828 cases reported on Saturday (Oct 23).
In a Twitter post, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said cumulatively, the country had recorded 2,431,716 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
Of the 5,666 cases, 5,646 were local transmissions while 20 were imported infections.
There were 6,978 patients discharged in the same 24-hour span, bringing the total recoveries in the country to 2,327,369 - a recovery rate of 95.7%.
Currently, there are 601 patients at intensive care units (ICU), with some 299 cases on ventilator support.
