Baby found dead in dump at Taman Bagan, Butterworth

BUTTERWORTH: A baby girl was found dead in a trash can at a flat at Taman Bagan here on Saturday (Oct 23) morning.

The baby was found when the area’s Rukun Tetangga (KRT) chairman and two workers were carrying out cleaning works in the area.

The workers found the baby wrapped in cloth inside one of the bins.

North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor confirmed that police have received a report on the case, and said that an investigation is ongoing.

"Police personnel are looking for more information with the help of surrounding residents on people who have recently been pregnant or in confinement after childbirth," he said.
