Look at health budgets as investment, not expenditure, says Khairy

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has called for health budgets to be viewed as investments rather than expenditure, especially in the prevention and treatment of cancer.

He said that for decades, the most effective medicines have been almost fully subsidised by the government to ensure the best possible health outcomes for cancer patients.
