Deceased developer had links to Penang undersea tunnel, says MACC


PUTRAJAYA: The property developer who fell to his death in Penang is a prosecution witness in Lim Guan Eng undersea tunnel graft trial, says the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

Sources said the MACC headquarters was informed of the witness' death Tuesday (Oct 5) morning.

"We are shocked to have learnt about the death of our witness," said a source.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong confirmed the incident involving the 53-year-old businessman and said that a statement would be issued later.
