Cops confirm calling in Ebit Lew for questioning

PETALING JAYA: Celebrity preacher Ustaz Ebit Lew was called to present himself to the police on Friday (Oct 1), Bukit Aman confirms.

In a statement on Friday, Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan confirmed that the preacher was called due to sexual harassment claims involving the preacher.

"The police confirms that the preacher and his wife were called to Bukit Aman today to assist investigations," he said.

He advised all to not speculate or provoke the issue as police are still conducting their investigations.

Recently videos and messages purportedly by the famous preacher have been spreading on Telegram.

In the videos a man who resembled the preacher could be seen performing indecent acts on camera.
