Civil defence forces catch 700kg crocodile in village in Papar


Reptilian rescue: A 700kg crocodile was captured by civil defence personnel and villagers at Kg Nahapas in Sabah’s Papar district.

KOTA KINABALU: Villagers and civil defence members have managed to capture a large crocodile that had been prowling over the last few days in a village in Papar district about 50km from here.

A Civil Defence Department spokesman said the 4.8m crocodile weighing 700kg was captured with the help of villagers at Kampung Nahapas at about 9pm on Monday.
