KOTA KINABALU: The wife of the late Datuk Lajim Ukin has expressed her gratitude to all who have offered prayers for her husband as he was laid to rest following his demise early Sunday.
Lajim died at 6.23am on Aug 29, and was later taken to the Muslim cemetery at Kg Kebatu/Kg Kabidang in Beaufort for burial at around 12.45pm.
"Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts during this tough time, for me and our family as well as my husband," said Datin Seri Normilah Siong.
She also thanked all medical personnel who took care of her husband when he was still fighting for his life.
Apart from close family members, medical personnel and those in charge of the burial, politicians including Klias assemblyman Isnin Aliasnih and Lumadan assemblyman Ruslan Muharam also turned up to pay their respects.
